Bastille Festival celebrates everything French in London

Bankside and Borough Market are once again hosting London’s largest free Bastille Day festival a couple of days early on July 12th for the 8th year in a row. The celebration promises to bring a slice of French food and culture with a jam-packed day of activities for everyone!

Food and drink

First and foremost, nothing says France more than a refreshing glass of glass of wine to accompany a selection of wonderfully indulgent traditional cuisines. Vinopolis will be hosting a wine and cheese masterclass to offer visitors the chance spruce up their culinary knowledge and learn what can be done with this much loved combination. In the market there will be live French cooking demonstrations and other delicious treats on offer such as crepes and comté. Bread Ahead will be running workshops on how to make your own French bread and croissants – a perfect chance to carb-load before the wine consumption begins. C’est magnifique!
