Are you going to Camberwell Fair?

After a 160 year hiatus, the Camberwell Fair returns to Camberwell Green on Saturday the 25th July. There is going to be 2 music stages, locally owned pop-up shops, yummy food and fun and games for the whole family. The best news – thanks to Southwark Council, Arts Council England and some generous sponsors – entrance is free!
Who will be performing at the Camberwell Fair?
The Wormfood Stage will host a variety of acts from all over the world. This includes the likes of Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra, Dawn Penn and The Turbans. There will also be ska and reggae sets, music from the Congo, Columbia and right here in the UK. Find the set times here.
There are over 30 musicians, singers, rappers and poets who will be performing on the Community Stage – all from Camberwell and its surrounding areas. The performances will include a 2-hour showcase handpicked by Reprezent Radio’s Shahlaa Discovers and Sam Berkson (Hammer and Tongue) paying tribute to the late great Camberwell poet Christopher Logue.
I’m feeling a bit peckish…
There will be some great street food options from the likes of Return of the Mac, The Pigeon Hole, Old Spike Roastery and Camberwell Arms.
The market is not just about the food and drink though… local businesses will be hosting pop-up shops so if you fancy a haircut why not give Dave’s Kutz or Etsy Perfect a try?

Get there early and settle in for the afternoon – there will be entertainment all day for the whole family.
