The best budget things to do this weekend!

Things seem to be hotting up and it’s beginning to feel as though spring has finally sprung. In the spirit of that, we’ve taken things outside and found a variety of things to do at the weekend that won’t leave you cooped up inside (although there are a couple of things to do inside – we can’t rely on the British weather that much!) So plan ahead, get a few things in the planner and make the most of the cheap things to do in London. (Now let’s just hope the weather holds!)
#1 | Explore the Brand New Army Museum | Chelsea | Free (some ticketed exhibitions)
After a lengthy refurbishment, The National Army Museum is having a grand re-opening! Check it out on the opening weekend, with whole calendar of scheduled events to celebrate.
When: Friday 31st March-Sunday 2nd April 2017.

#2 | Camberwell Free Film Festival | Across Camberwell | Free
Like watching films for free? A variety of independent venues will be opening up to host a whole host of celebrated indie films, including Disney’s Moana for the kids and I, Daniel Blake for the grown ups.
When: Sunday 2nd April 2017 (festival continues until 10th April).

Cost: Free, first come, first served.
#3 | Cheese and Wine Festival | Stratford | Free
You may not brie-lieve it, but there’s a FREE cheese and wine festival happening in Stratford this weekend. Meet and talk to independent cheese and wine traders from around the world, as well as attending talks and workshops.
When: Saturday 1st – Sunday 2nd April 2017 (12pm-6pm & 11am-4pm).
Where: Victory Park, London E20 1EJ.
Cost: Free.
#4 | The Boat Race | Locations on the Thames | Free (Donations encouraged)
Watch one of the oldest sports in the take place on the Thames for it’s 163rd annual boat race. Find a spot and watch Oxford and Cambridge battle it out for the charity Cancer Research.
When: Sunday 2nd April 2017 (From 2:45pm).

Hoping to promote mental well being via creativity, Cool Tan Arts have organised a series of guided walks on a variety of topics, from art to history.
