For those looking for some great bonfire night displays in London without burning up your wallet in the process, fear not: you don’t have to bankrupt yourself on a couple of show tickets to see great fireworks in the capital. All across London, there are some great free fireworks displays that will cause you to gasp in amazement- at both the fireworks and how much you’re getting without spending a penny!
#1 | Blackheath Fireworks | Lewisham
With all the extras you could want from a London firework display, the Blackheath show contains a funfair, food and drink, and three different spectator zones, so you can be sure of a good view.
Where: Blackheath, Lewisham
When: Saturday 5 November – Funfair at 12 noon, food and drinks from 5, and fireworks at 8.
#2 | Guy Fawkes’ Night | Newham
A completely free display involving fireworks choreographed to music and lasers (awesome), this little event also has free food and drink, and looks set to be one of the best pyrotechnic displays out there.
Where: Wanstead Flats, Forest Gate
When: Saturday 5 November, Gates open at 5.30pm, and fireworks start at 7.30pm
#3 | Southwark’s Free Fireworks Night | Southwark
There’s a whole host of stuff to enjoy at Southwark’s fireworks night: fire and light circus performances, a family funfair, hot food and drinks, and family entertainment throughout the evening until 8pm.

#4 | November 4th Fireworks | Walthamstow
Last year, the bonfire night was cancelled at the last moment, but this year the Waltham Forest Bonfire Night returns bigger than ever! Head to Chestnuts Field for a free dazzling spectacle, a range of delicious street food and a bar area serving an array of beverages.

When: Friday 4 November,funfair starts at 6:30pm and the display at 8pm
#5 | The Great Fire of London Fireworks Display | Tower Hamlets/Victoria Park
Enjoy a spectacular display as the skies above Victoria Park are ablaze with light and colour in celebration of Fireworks Night. Set to atmospheric music, the fireworks display takes place at 7pm and there will be stalls selling lots of food and beverages.
When: Sunday 6 November, Display starts at 7pm

#5 | Brent Fireworks Night | Brent
This free fireworks display has everything you could want in this kind of event- a firework show at 6:30pm, a funfair, street entertainment from a number of performers, great street food and more.
Where: Arena Square, Wembley Park
When: Sunday 6 November, 6:30pm-9pm
#6 | Lord Mayor’s Fireworks | City of London
This will be one of the biggest fireworks shows of the year, and it’s completely free! Head on down to South Bank or Victoria Embankment– the roads are closed there till 6:30, so you should have plenty of room (they say)- and watch the 10-15 minute fireworks show taking place over the Thames.
When: Sunday 12 November, 5.15pm
Where: All across the city- though the recommended spots to watch at are between Waterloo and Blackfriars bridges, on South Bank or on Victoria Embankment.
#7 East Village Fireworks | Stratford
Get Living London’s annual fireworks night fiesta returns to Victory Park. The gates will open at 6.15pm and you will find firework-themed food and drink from pop up stalls. Pre-book your free tickets here.
