Live Street Art part of Dulwich Festival between 11 and 12 May
If you’re a street art lover you should consider heading to Dulwich this weekend, as some of the biggest names in international street art scene are coming together to create an outdoor gallery of public murals based on Baroque era Old Master paintings held by Dulwich Picture Gallery! The event is part of the 9 day long (10-19 May 2013) Dulwich Festival and will bring 16 of the most well know current street art masters who will remix the works of the masters of old! Is that cool or what? There will also be debates led by academics and experts so you’ll have the chance to ask and learn.
Here are the names of the artists participating in this great initiative: REKA (Australia), Conor Harrington (Ireland), ROA (Belgium), Dscreet (Australia), Thierry Noir (France), Mad C (Germany), RUN (Italy), Shok-1 (UK), Nunca (Brazil), Phlegm (UK), Agent Provocateur (UK), Remi Rough (UK), System (UK) and The Rolling People (UK and Spain).
The above mentioned street artists will also exhibit both inside and out in a large house in 265 Lordship Lane during the closing exhibition that will take place between 17 and19 May!
