monthly column by Afroditi K. (follow her on Twitter: @foustoon)
Holidays are over, trees have been parked away and winter is here in full swing. Most of us suffer from post-holiday depression these days having lost the feeling of waiting for something (days off, gifts, shopping, Christmas!). That’s when January and New Year’s resolutions kick in! How many of you promised yourself you are going to enjoy more of what this city has to offer? Or maybe do one cultural thing every month (I know I did!)? Luckily, cinema falls into that category and we have searched and brought to you our pick of the best free film screenings in town for almost every day of January, ranging from cool animation festivals and independent productions to Hollywood classics. Click on the titles below for more information on venues and times. Most of the films have a free entrance (as per usual we will let you know in the brackets when it’s not the case) but for some of them you will need to book your place in advance.
