+ Free Beer for everyone!
What started as a brief conversation between a pub landlord and a guest who turned out to be a music producer has now come to fruition to become the first inaugural Glory Days Music Festival this weekend. With big festivals being swamped with muddy wellies, overpriced drinks and a long trip home, The Hops & Glory takes the hassle and extortion out of a music festival and bring it locally to Islington.
Free beer on the 4th of July
Glory days festival will run on the 4th 5th and 6th of July with free beer being served on the evening of the 4th courtesy of Brewdog & London Fields Brewery after the football quarter final around 8pm.
What’s on
It will be a showcase of up and coming new artists including Candy Says, London Music Award winner FEMME (DJ) who recently returned from performing at Coachella Festival, Ministry of Sound darlings YOUTH, emerging spinster The Last Skeptik, Canadian troubadour CA Smith and motown inspired big band, Red Soul Brigade. On the Sunday a hangover brunch will be available from Midday until 3pm with eggs benedict and unlimited Bloody Marys at friendly price. After the Sunday brunch we’ll be hosting a Pub Quiz which is £2 entry per head with the proceeds going to The British Heart Foundation and the winning team getting a bottle of Belvedere Vodka.
The Hops & Glory will brew a bespoke, one-of-a-kind beer for each of the band’s performing which will be on sale only throughout the festival. Each beer will be uniquely designed in the spirit of each act, with all proceeds from the sales going to the British Heart Foundation. Find them on Twitter for further updates.
