Gun Salute at the Tower of London on Saturday 15th of June 2013
This Saturday 15th of June a 62 round gun salute will take place at the Tower of London at 1pm sharp to celebrate the Queen’s Official Birthday! For those who have no clue, Royal Gun Salutes mark special royal occasions and on specific days throughout the year salutes are fired from various locations in London and other places in the UK flag is hoisted on government buildings. The number of rounds fired depends always on the place and occasion. This time there will be 21 rounds for the basic Royal Salute, 20 rounds because the Tower is a Royal Palace and Fortress and another 21 for the City of London.
