If you love shopping at IKEA then you need to join the IKEA FAMILY. I have been a member for a while now, and whilst I don’t shop at IKEA that often, I have definitely received some great deals on products and even some fantastic freebies!
#1 Discount on the IKEA FAMILY product range
IKEA has a range of products that are specifically designed with your family in mind. These include a range of safety items, books and travel accessories. All of these items are sold at a reduced price for IKEA FAMILY members.
If you hold an IKEA FAMILY card you will also receive a further 10% off sale items and loads of other reductions off regular priced products.
#2 FREE tea and coffee
If you go to IKEA any day between Monday and Friday then you will be able to get a free tea or coffee from the restaurant. Not only this, but there are loads of other great offers on the menu. Last time I went to IKEA, we received a 50p discount on the Salmon Lasagne and £2 off the Sausage and Mash!
#3 More FREE stuff!
Since I have been a member of the IKEA FAMILY I have received vouchers for 100 free tea lights, a free deckchair and a free frying pan. Unfortunately, these products are subject to availability and the only thing I’ve been able to claim are the tea light candles. Ah well, at least I will be okay in a power cut!
Accident prone? By swiping your card at the checkout, your goods are insured for accidental damage that may happen on your drive home, or during assembly.
#4 Invites to special store events
Keep an eye on what’s happening at your local IKEA store and attend special member only events. These can be anything from sale previews, home furnishing workshops or fun parties. IKEA FAMILY members can reserve their discount tickets to the annual Swedish Crayfish party whilst non-members must pick up their regular price tickets in store.
You can sign up for an IKEA card online or at one of the kiosks in store. You can enjoy the benefits straight away by printing out a temporary card – your IKEA FAMILY card will be posted to you with 2-3 weeks.
Being a member of the IKEA FAMILY is not like being part of your average store loyalty programme. You don’t have to accumulate points to start enjoying the benefits, and everybody is rewarded the same. Sign up now and save money the next time your making some home improvements.
