Pint of Science – A Free science festival for the masses!
When you think about scientists you probably imagine guys in white coats, wearing glasses and holding chemistry flasks right? Basically this might be true sometimes but there are a bunch of different scientists, researching a bunch of different interesting stuff, that can be appealing to every single one of us! Like for example.. why do we sleep? or how addiction works? So, now imagine yourself sitting in a bar, drinking a nice cold pint of alle and listen to the most incredible scientists explain their recent discoveries! Now stop imagine and just have a look at Pint of Science‘s programme. Pint of Science is a new Free science festival for the general public being held in 15 different pubs in London, Oxford and Cambridge from Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th of May 2013! Over 70 researchers coming from Imperial College London, King’s College London, University College London, University of Oxford and University of Cambridge will speak about their research and projects covering 3 main topics: Brain, Body and Biotechnology.
The events are 100% free, but you’ll need to register and receive a ticket to get into each pub. So have a look at the range of the London events and book your tickets asap!
