There’s ‘snow’ time like Christmas in London, especially in Merchant Square

In terms of predicitions, those of us dreaming for a white Christmas may indeed be waiting for a long time. However, if you can’t wait for real snow to fall in the capital, then head down to Merchant Square at the beginning of December to see the square, which is right next to the Paddington Basin, filled with 65 square feet of REAL snow and you can get in on the action for free! In honour of the special occasion, there will be snowman-building competitions as well as snowball throwing target practice, where you can hone your skills, in case it really does snow this Christmas!
All that activity and the cold temperatures are likely to make you feel a little peckish, so warm up with food and drink from pop-ups taking place. From Pizza Express, grab a bowl of snowy doughballs, or get a chocolate peanut pizza with raspberries and creme fraiche from Heist. Scandinavian restaurant KuPP will also be on hand to serve up mulled cider to revellers. If you are looking for yet more activity, Clifton Nurseries will be hosting wreath-making sessions, so that you can take one home as a festive addition for your home. This Christmas…let it snow!
