Guide to the day & Thatcheristic Exhibition
In case you’ve forgotten, or didn’t know, Margaret Thatcher’s funeral is taking place today in London. As you may realise London will be extremely busy today so it might be a good idea to plan ahead your trip as there will be road closures and disruptions to public transport. So, first of all find some interesting (like the cost of the funeral, that could be up to £10m!) and useful information about the funeral’s rout through BBC’s guide to the day.
At the same time, London based public art enterprise Art Below open ‘Thatcheristic‘ at London’s Gallery Different. As the name reveals, the exhibition will be dedicated to the Iron Lady, as 10 UK based artists including Peter Kennard, Harry Pye, Nasser Azam, Johan Andersson, Sarah Maple, Matt Small, and Carne Griffiths will show their depictions in portrait form to the general public.
