The best budget things to do this weekend!

December has come around again (all to quickly, some of you might say!) and it really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. However, we know how – even by just the beginning of December – the thought of Christmas can cause even the most organised people to descend into complete panic. Therefore, in order to make your weekend stress free, here’s a list of non-festive happenings going on over the next couple of days. Okay, so there might be just one or two X-mas related thing in the mix… don’t be a scrooge!
#1 | The London International Animation Festival | Various locations | Prices vary
A celebration of the most ground breaking new techniques in animation and new animators, as well as shining a light on some of the earliest examples of animation.
When: Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th 2016. (Festival continues until 11th December).

#2 | Shiatsuthon | Morden | Free
Head down to the Crown House Creative to get a relaxing, 20 minute Shiatsu massage from one of the many volunteers taking part in this six-hour massage marathon in order to raise money for charity.
When: Saturday 3rd December 2016 (10am-4pm).
Where: 102 London Road, Morden, SM4 5AY.
Cost: Free, though donations are encouraged.
#3 | Horniman Christmas Fair | Forest Hill | Free
A Christmas fair set in and around the Horniman Museum. On the Saturday, there will be a farmers market and on the Sunday, mince pies and carols within the bandstand. It is free to attend however some activities are charged (though no more than £4).
When: Saturday 3rd – Sunday 4th December 2016 (10am-4:30pm).

#4 | This Is Your Trial | Marylebone | £6
An improvised comedy show in which audience participation is encouraged. As a juror, you might be asked to give evidence, provide a witness statement or you might even be put on trial yourself! Whatever happens, prepare for a criminally good time!
When: The Phoenix, Saturday 3rd December 2016. (7.30pm-9pm)

#5 | Acoustic Sundays Festive Party | Haggerston | Free
A festive shindig that showcases the best in east London’s live, acoustic talent. There is also an hour of open mic, if you are feeling adventurous.
When: Sunday 4th December 2016 (2:30pm-8pm).
Where: St Peter’s Church, Northchurch Terrace, N1 4DA.
Cost: Free.
