There are plenty of great free events in London this bank holiday weekend 22-25 May 2015. On Friday, there is a nice live music gig at the Finsbury featuring a great selection of upcoming indie pop bands, while on Sunday Beatroots is back at Passing Cloud with another great free live African music festival (just be sure to be there before 8pm otherwise you will need to pay an entrance fee). Moreover, there is the 3 day Big Swing Dance and Vintage Market at Cutty Sark Gardens in Greenwich and the new South London Record Fair which will take place in Elephant and Castle on Saturday. Finally don’t miss the 9th Anatolian Cultural Fete which takes place at Clissold Park from Friday to Monday. ►Live music gig at The Finsbury, Manor House, N4 1BY – Fri 22 (7pm-12:30am)
A nice indie pop event featuring live acts from the likes of Divine Paiste + MOHIT + Lion Bark + Cold Boys.
►South London Record Fair at The Paperworks, SE1 6DR – Sat 23 (noon – 11pm)
A brand new record fair, situated in Elephant and Castle. Label showcases, DJ sets, street food and more!
►Anatolian Cultural Fete at Clissold Park, N16 – Fri 22 – Mon 25
A 4 day festival celebrating Turkish culture with music, dance, wrestling, family activities and more
►The Big Swing Dance On the Gardens at Cutty Sark Gardens, SE10 9HT – Sat 23 – Mon 25 (11am – 6pm)
An exciting event featuring free swing dance lessons and workshops and a pop-up vintage street market.
►Fiestival Sunday – The African Edition at Passing Clouds in Dalston, E8 4AA – Sun 24 (free before 8pm)
A festival for African music lovers with live music and DJ sets.
