Updates for WiFi in London Underground

WiFi in London Underground

Yei! WiFi services have now been rolled out to over 100 London Tube stations! However, the payment model has changed so listen carefully.. Everyone with a smartphone or iPhone (or any WiFi enabled device basically) can check for free for TFL’s latest travel information through the Virgin Media portal when they connect to WiFi. The good news is that if it happens to be a Virgin Media, Vodafone, EE, T‑Mobile or Orange customer, you can surf for free! Otherwise you’ll be able to use WiFi by purchasing a Virgin Media WiFi Pass. The bad thing is that the signal is available in ticket halls, corridors and on platforms, but not in tunnels. Another good news is that WiFi will also be coming to a number of Overground stations in 2013! If you want further info including a map of WiFi enabled stations, visit tfl.gov.uk/wifi.
