No pillow no entry!
One of my worst nightmares when I go to the movies is when I end up sitting behind a giant dude and can’t see a thing. Another of these annoying moments is when the person behind me has his legs on my seat and is so restless that it makes me feel like I am on a vibrator seat. Basically if I start counting how many different things can go wrong with the seats in a normal cinema I wouldn’t know where to stop.
So imagine if there was a cinema were instead of the usual cinema seats there were massive beanbags. Sounds cool right? Personally I love watching a movie in bed and one of my dreams has always been to be able to screen movies on a projector while in bed. That’s why the moment I heard about the new Pillow Cinema in Shoreditch I got super excited. Who is behind this new project? The guys behind the Hot Tub Cinema of course.
The pillow cinema idea
After the hot tub cinema and the silent cinema, another interesting cinema project came to East London’s nightlife. Imagine a space (old Underground station) full of beanbags and a massive screen ready to provide a super exciting screening night. I am getting excited writing this post…
The hosts at the Pillow Cinema will provide huge FatBoy beanbags for £20, plus a £1.21 booking fee. The events are strictly BYOP (bring your own pillow) so if you ain’t got your own pillow you ain’t getting in… That means that you can have the Fatboy all by yourself and chill like a king or share it with your other half or with a friend (£10 each if you share the beanbag) to save some cash and also to come closer (in case you are on a date)… You can book your tickets through event bride.
