8 Minutes Idle Film Talk at the Alibi - Broke in London

8 Minutes Idle Film Talk at the Alibi

A free film talk with Author and Screenwriter Matt Thorne sponsored by Jameson

You should definitely head to the Alibi in Dalston on Thursday for a complimentary Jameson cocktail and put any questions you like to author and screenwriter Matt Thorne. Matt will be giving a free talk about British film in honour of the release of a British Indie, which was released after the target was reached on crowdfunding site Kickstarter – 8 Minutes Idle.

8 Minutes Idle was based on Matt’s award-winning novel, which was adapted for the big screen when a team of people who really wanted it to happen came to Matt. The idea for the film was backed by iFeatures, who funded 3 out of 550 submissions. Mark Simon Hewis was chosen as director and Tom Hughes was chosen as the lead, alongside Ophelia Lovibond, Antonia Thomas and Monsteratt Lombard.

The project from conception to completion could not have been achieved without the hard work and support of a lot of people. So, to celebrate their hard work and ask any questions you may have about how to go about making and distributing a film, join the Alibi between 7pm – 9pm. All are welcome!
