To meet the extraordinary demand for the Somerset House talk with Thierry Noir and Stik, Street Art London are putting on an extra conversation with Thierry Noir today Saturday 23rd of February at 3PM. In case you’re not familiar with the names: Thierry Noir, is a French artist who contributed to the longest concrete painting in the world, the Berlin Wall. His paintings, with their bright colors and their melancholy poetry, survived longer than all the others, following the fall of the wall in 1989.
In this talk Thierry Noir will be telling more stories about his experiences painting the Berlin Wall in the 1980s. He will also be reflecting on his impressions of painting around East London this week. There will be plenty of time at the talk to direct questions toward Thierry Noir. Richard Howard-Griffin of Street Art London will chair the talk.
The talk is being held at CockNBull Gallery (Tramshed, 32 Rivington St, Shoreditch, EC2A 3EQ) at Tramshed on Rivington Street.
After the talk, Thierry will most likely be doing some live painting somewhere in Shoreditch!
There are no ticket reservations for this event so just turn up and we will accommodate as many people as we can.
Limited Edition Screenprint Release. Street Art London, in association with Salted Prints, will also be making a limited allocation of Salted Prints’ two forthcoming Thierry Noir screen prints available at the talk! What do you waiting for?!
