Teen fined for cycling at 37mph in Richmond Park
Ok, first of all the teenager didn’t get an actual fine, he got though a conditional charge which is less serious than a fine. So, what’s the story? A 16-year-old was riding his bike down Sawyers Hill in Richmond Park at 37mph wile the speed limit was 20mph.. That was the point when they stopped him and they charged him with a conditional discharge, £15 victim surcharge and £85 in costs. The question is how they caught him? Do they now have police with radar guns to measure and ticket people in the parks? In Richmond Park they probably do, so the thing is that although we don’t know it, parks do have their own bylaws which we should consider..
