You can expect improvised ‘happy birthdays’ galore at the tenth birthday of the highly anticipated Canary Wharf Jazz Festival which returns this Saturday (20th August) and Sunday (21st August). Now a highly regarded event on the national jazz calendar, you can expect the event to reach capacity extremely quickly. Event organisers have asked that visitors reach the festival – which begins just after 1pm on both days – with plenty of time. It’s popularity means that it fills up incredibly quickly and late attendees risk being turned away.
Situated, as always in Canada Square Park, the event promises some of the most exciting, unusual and boundary pushing acts from the UK and beyond. Big names will include Eliane Correa & En El Aire Project and Red Snapper on the Saturday and J-Sonics and Beats + Pieces on the Sunday. With back-to-back music for around 9 hours on both days, there is bound to be something to taste of any connoisseur. So, for an exclusive chance to experience music from some of the most accomplished artists in the world, head down to Canary Wharf this weekend.
