Learn how to knit and do a good turn
Ladies listen up! (I am calling just the ladies because personally I have never seen in my life a dude knitting… If though there is a dude out there who loves to knit or who wants to learn how to knit then please let me know!)
I knit London, the largest knitting shop in central London has partnered up with Age UK Lambeth to hold a free knitting workshop this Saturday 21st of December as well as on the 4th January at the Southbank Centre. The project is called Get Your Knit on and it aims to bring people together to make blankets for vulnerable older people across Lambeth.
The workshop will take place from noon to 3pm in the Clore Ballroom and it is ideal both for beginners and experienced knitters. You will need to bring your own wool and needles and you will make 6″ squares which will be sewn together to make the above mentioned blankets.
