NASA Pays You to Stay in Bed For 70 Days - Broke in London

NASA Pays You to Stay in Bed For 70 Days

Stay in bed for 70 days and get $18,000

Are you a US citizen or permanent resident  of the US? What if I tell you that you could lie in bed for almost 2 months, play video games, take online classes, watch movies, chat on Skype or do whatever else you want without getting out of the bed for the entire time of the experiment and get paid $18,000 for your effort?! Something is wrong in this picture right?

Although it might sound surreal, NASA pays you to stay in bed! NASA is planning a new experiment to test the effectiveness of exercise on loss of muscle, bone and cardiovascular function and is currently looking for volunteers who will be willing to stay in bed for 70 days. However, becoming one of the lucky participants of this experiment is not easy at all. NASA is going to undertake lots of tests to measure the physical and mental health of the ‘subjects’.

Staying 70 days in bed, watching movies and playing video games may sound ideal but as senior scientist Dr. Roni Cromwell mentions “Not every type of person can tolerate an extended time in bed.” However, if you’re a US citizen living in the UK you should consider taking a 2 months break and head back to the states don’t you think?

Have a look at NASA’s page to find out more and apply.
