The National Poetry Competition – £Win 5000!

National Poetry Competition 2013 is now accepting entries!

If you love writing and you believe that people will love to read your stuff you should apply to The National Poetry Competition for a chance to win £5000,  have your poems published in Poetry Review and  participate at Ledbury Poetry Festival in July 2014! The second runner up will get £2000 and the third  £1000. Winning and commended poems will be published on the Poetry Society website when the competition prizes are announced in spring 2014. The only problem is that you’ll need to pay a small fee to submit your poems, as the first poem you submit costs £6.00 and subsequent entries in the same submission cost £3.50 per poem. If you join the Poetry Society (or if you are already a member) you get a free second entry with subsequent poems at £3.50. Before entering, just be sure to read the rules.

+ Take your National Poetry Competition flyer with you this summer and take a nice picture with it. The pictures taken in the best places will be in line to win a prize! If you haven’t a flyer you can send an email to marketing@poetrysociety.org.uk and they will post you one.
