The best events this weekend 27-29 June
Too many free events are taking place in the capital every single weekend but most of them are nothing special… We just don’t like to give a shout out about random free gigs so the idea behind this weekly post is to let you know about the best free weekend events in London that we would also like attend. By the way, we also include Friday events cause for most of us the weekend starts from Friday evening, no? Without further ado here is our Top 5 Free Events in London this weekend 27-29 of June 2014!
►Crystal Palace Overground Festival in various places in Crystal Palace – Thu 26 to Sun 29
The 8th year of this super nice festival packed with live music, vintage bargains, food, craft stalls and more.
►London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival at the London Regatta Centre, E16 2QT – Sun 29 (10am – 6pm)
Europe’s most spectacular dragon boat event featuring 36 dragon boat teams, a food festival, live music and more.
►Swing East Festival at the Chrisp Street Market, E14 6AQ – Sun 29 (noon – 6pm)
We were anticipating this one.. An promising swing dance and vintage festival full of jazz, jive and jumpin’ beats!
►Pride in London Parade 2014 from Baker Street to Trafalgar Square – Sat 28 (1pm – 4pm)
More than 200 groups from diverse parts of the LGBT+ community, looots of music and nice vibes.
►Bermondsey Carnival off Jamaica Road, SE16 – Sun (12pm – 8pm)
Another must-attend event with fantastic live music (headliners are the Pop legends Chas ‘n’ Dave) a jumble sale, food stalls & more.
