Christmas is definitely in full swing and there are plenty of things to keep yourself occupied whether you want them to be Christmas-sy, or you are feeling a little bah humbug! about the whole occasion, we’ve also got things that just happen to be going in the month of December. Regardless, if you are still not satisfied are looking for something fun to do this weekend, check below to see what we have included in our round-up of the best, affordable things to do between Friday and Sunday. We dare you to be bored!
#1 | God’s Own Junkyard: Always Look On The Bright Side Off Life | Soho | Free
For a third year in a row, God’s Own Junkyard has moved beyond the realms of it’s Walthamstow and returned for an exhibition, with pieces to buy, at the Lights of Soho in the centre of the city.
When: Friday 9th-Sunday 11th 2016 (The exhibition is open until the 14th January 2017).
Where: Lights of Soho, 35 Brewer Street, London, W1F 0RX.

#2 | Santacon | Various locations | Free
Christmas is a time to dress up in ridiculous outfits, eat, drink and be merry, so why not do it in a huge group of people with the London Santacon! The only rules you have to follow: don’t get too drunk, be nice to children and dress up properly – just donning a santa hat is not enough!
When: Saturday 10th December (beginning at 11am).

#3 | Dalston Food Day | Dalston Kingsland | Free
The Food Assembly, 40ft Brewery and Root and Bone Magazine are teaming up to host Dalston’s first ever food day, where you’ll be able to get food and drink from a variety of local producers, including St JOHN, Borough Wines and Beers and Nonna’s Gelato.
When: Saturday 10th December 2016 (11am-11pm).

#4 | Be Here Now: Mindfulness, Meditation and Relaxation | Greenwich | £2.50
Let your worries slip away and indulge in some relaxation beside the river, amongst all the plants of Farmopolis.

#5 | Festive Light Ride | Starting in Clapham | £3/Free
An organised bike ride that travels between Clapham and Brixton, with plenty of exciting things to see along the way, such as fireworks, lanterns, music, entertainers and singers.
When: Sunday 11th December 2016 (Begins at 4pm).
