Rush Hour is being developed into a Smartphone game
Commuting in London; the awkward, staring-blankly-into-space-avoiding-all-eye-contact experience. It’s about time someone stands up and does something for these poor people, and that’s where Rush Hour App comes in.
Set in the London Underground, this game will wildly distract commuters and poke fun at the day-to-day commuting culture in London. The aim? Get ‘Colin the Commuter’ from A to B through various real-life but light-hearted travel related challenges.
Features of the game include:
- 3 game modes to choose from
- Real time events: If there’s a signal failure in real life, it’s in the game too
- Mini games as you change between lines
- Collect B coins along the way to get a high score so that you can compete against friends
- Seasonal features; ghosts at halloween, dehydration in summer
The app, conceptualised by young entrepreneur Antonia Heslop, is in the preliminary stages of development. She will be crowd-sourcing funded to help pay for making Rush Hour App into a fully playable game and is hoping for support from London Mayor, Boris Johnson and Transport for London.
So be kept in the loop by following Rush Hour App on Twitter and Facebook.
