Pint of Science is bringing science to the pub again this year…
How is a spaceship’s warp drive like surfing? How can you image language? Could you repair the brain with stem cells? Could we do surgery using sound? Are there holes in space and time? What’s ice like in space? Could you build a nano-scale microscope at home for under a hundred quid? What’s in your cell phone?
Pint of Science is answering all of these questions – with a three day global science festival (23-25 May 2016) which will see hundreds of scientists head to the UK’s pubs, inns and taverns to discuss their latest research an informative, informal and interactive way.
Topics covered:
Beautiful Mind (neurosciences, psychology and psychiatry)
Our Body (human biology and life sciences)
Atoms to Galaxies (chemistry, physics, astronomy, materials)
Planet Earth (earth sciences)
Tech Me Out (technology and computers)
Our Society (law, history, politics)
