The best budget events in town this Halloween!

There’s a chill in the air this Halloween and it’s not just the cold weather coming in! With so many things to do over for Halloween, there can be almost too many things to choose from. So we at Broke In London have made it simple for you: we have picked the top 5 free (or cheap) events to go and check out in London. They all cost less than a fiver, so you’ll have plenty of money left over for going out in the evening! Have a terrifyingly fun time…we dare you!
#1 | Stranger Things Themed Party | Hoxton | £5
Enjoy a party based around Netflix’s most popular series this year, Stranger Things. Enjoy all things 80s, including retro cocktails, hits and themed decor: think lots and lots of Christmas lights (you’ll understand if you’ve seen it!)
When: Friday 28th October (8pm-2am).
Where: 2-4 Hoxton Square, N1 6NU.
Cost: £5 OTD.
#2 | Hallowe’en Horrors | Brixton | Free
Bring along your pumpkins for an afternoon of carving and spooky stories at the Brixton Windmill. Face painting and plenty of spooky activities will be on hand to keep the little ones occupied and as the sun sets, light your carved creations and watch them transform!
When: Sunday, 30th October (2pm-5pm).
Where: Brixton Windmill, Blenheim Gardens, SW2 5EU.
Cost: Free.
#3 | The Mist Screening | Dalston | £3.50
Enjoy a screening of underrated horror flick The Mist, based on the novella by Steven King. With a nod to classic horror films of the 30s and 40s, the film will also be shown in black and white.
When: Monday 31st October, 8pm onwards.
Where: The Victoria, 451 Queensbridge Road, E8 3AS.
Cost: £3.50 in advance, £5 door.
#4 | Dirty Retro Halloween Party | Old Street | Free
If you’re not a fan of the dark, check out this day party at the Magic Roundabout in Old Street. Enjoy face-painting, games, a photobooth and many more tricks and treats.
When: Saturday 29th October, (3pm-11pm).
Where: Old Street Roundabout, EC1Y 1BE.
Cost: Free.
#5 | £1 Cinema Club | Clapham | £1
Enjoy the classic parody movie, Scary Movie and pay homage to all of your favourite horror films. You can also get unlimited £1 popcorn! After the film, dance the night away at The Grand’s Halloween Ball.
When: Saturday 29th October, (6pm-3pm).
