The best free events this weekend 9-11 January
As always there are several great free things to do in London this weekend. There is the soulful live gig of the Atlantic Soul Orchestra and Tom Mansi at the Blues Kitchen in Shoreditch, Christopher Bracey’s neon exhibition at the Lights of Soho,the SundayUp Market and the Coolwalks for movie fans. ►Coolwalks, starts at John Harvard Library, SE1 1JA – Sat 10 (12:30pm-2pm)
Free guided 1.5-mile walk around Southwark that follows in the footsteps of Dickens, Bridget Jones and Harry Potter.
►Tom Mansi and Atlantic Soul Orchestra at The Blues Kitchen Shoreditch, EC2A 3AR – Sat 10 (free before 9pm)
Live gig for fans of soul, funk,blues and rock & roll + DJ sets till 3am.
►SundayUp Market at The Old Truman Brewery, E1 6QL – Sun 11 (10am-5pm)
Cool market selling everything from fashion, accessories, art, interiors, delicious street food and more.
►The Sunday Social at the Old Queens Head, N1 8LN – Sunday (till midnight)
A cool relaxed Sunday evening with live bands and DJs all kicking off from 3pm.
►Christopher Bracey’s God’s Own Junkyard at the Lights of Soho, W1F 0RX – Mon to Sun (10am till 8pm)
